Fashion Shop Report

Three shops that stock these garments are Topshop, H&M and River Island.

       Five Vintage Garments
  • The first item of clothing that i chose to look at was a wrap skirt from River Island. What makes this skirt vintage is the red and yellow old fashioned floral print over the modern black and white patterns, it also looks very 1980's versace inspired. It costs £25.00 and is made from 8% Elastane, 92% Polyester.

  • The second item of clothing that i chose to look at was a Lace Fringe Kimono from Topshop. What makes this Kimono vintage is the gold floral patterns and the 1970s jacket fringes. It costs £60.00 and is made from 58% Polyamide, 35% Viscose, 7% Polyester.

  • The third is an accessory that i chose to look at which was a Premium Large Twist Multirow Necklace from Topshop. What makes this Necklace vintage is the chunky gold twists of metal layered together which is very 1980's. It costs £60.00 and is made from metal.

  • The fourth is an accessory that i chose to look at which was a Purse from Urban Outfitters. What makes this purse vintage is the bold gold leopard head at the front. It costs £20.00 and is made from faux leather, metal and mixed fibres.
  • The fifth item of clothing i have chose to look at is this retro shirt from ted baker. What makes this shirt vintage is the contrasting coloured patterns which are put into squares. It costs £99.00 and is made from 100% Polyester.

Looking around the shops colours that are in fashion are bright reds&blues, different shades of purples and olivey greens. Also white is incoperated in alot of clothes with coloured patterns. However, in jewlerry golds and illuminous colours are also back in fashion. Styles that are back in fashion are the hippy and punk looks, but mainly the vintage versace look. This includes floral and shape prints, i have mainly focused on this look in my report.
